"I'm just excited to see what the MCU has in store for her."
Xochitl Gomez has spoken on her future in the Marvel Cinematic Universe following her turn in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
The actress makes her debut in the latest Marvel outing as America Chavez, her character entering via the Utopian Parallel universe as she's hunted for opening star-shaped holes in reality.
However, speculation is rife that Chavez could join an MCU version of the Young Avengers alongside the likes of Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld), especially given that's the path her comics counterpart goes down.

Speaking exclusively to Digital Spy on her future, Gomez seemed keen on a return, saying: "I would love to continue to play her, of course. I'm just excited to see what the MCU has in store for her and her character growth.
"I wish [I knew more]. I asked for hints like, 'Guys, this way or this way? Just point which way'. And they're like, 'Nope'."

The actress has also revealed a big change that the movie made from the comics, explaining that her character is actually younger on the big screen than the source material.
"The amazing thing about America in the MCU is that she's 14, which is younger than any other version in the comics. So I think that Michael Waldron really had some freedom in introducing her in a new way," Gomez told us.
"For me, looking into the comics, she's younger and less experienced, so basically taking that confidence in her power and her ability and just developing it for this movie, which was fun. I enjoyed it."
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is out now in cinemas.
